A YOUNG bookseller has been recognised for the amazing start to her career.

Olivia Rosenthall, owner of Maldon Books in Maldon’s High Street, is one of the five winners of the prestigious Trailblazer Awards, which recognise young talent under the age of 30 in the publishing industry.
For opening her award-winning bookshop at just 26, Olivia will be paired up with a previous award winners as part of a new mentorship programme to help this year’s group grow in their publishing career. She said: “It was a lovely surprise to see the announcement. I really wasn’t expecting it and I’m absolutely thrilled, especially to be in such wonderful company too! “I do feel as though we owe so much to our customers, whose continual support has truly kept us going over the last year. “I will always be grateful to everyone who has bought a book from us, it means the world. “I’m very thankful for this opportunity, and looking forward to reopening Maldon Books on April 12.
Now in their sixth year, the awards are run by the London Book Fair and the Publishers Association, and supported by the Society of Young Publishers and BookBrunch.
